Lutheran Campus Ministry has been serving the University of Arizona and Tucson for decades. We invite young adults—regardless of faith background— into a community of Worship, fellowship, and service learning.
We celebrate God’s radical hospitality daily: providing a safe place to study with plenty of free food, supportive friends and faith formation.
BUT, in March our world shifted when COVID-19 arrived in the US. With new travel restrictions, our Spring Break trip to Jordan was cancelled with 24 hours notice.
Our bustling campus of 50,000+ people suddenly looked very different!
9 months later, we still live in this reality. While most students live Tucson– they are taking almost all classes online. We followed campus guidelines and our ecumenical building has been closed this semester.
Like many of you—we quickly had to find creative ways to Be the Church without our building. Our Wednesday night programs moved to Zoom. We switched to “take-out-style meals.” Faced with isolation, our new community finally emerged.
Regardless of your past or present experience with religion–we strive to connect with students wherever you are on your faith journey.
