Our Mission

Lutheran Campus Ministry is a progressive faith community serving the University of Arizona community. We are here to help you build an honest community as you wrestle through questions of identity & vocation during your college years. We live out our Christian faith with total inclusivity for all people and a focus on social justice. Come celebrate worship with us Wednesday nights. We offer a variety of weekly events for undergrad & grad students—and hope to be your place of welcome in Tucson!

We are a mission of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Grand Canyon Synod,  the ELCA LuMin Network, and a LGBTQIA+ inclusive Reconciling Works Community. We welcome ALL students of Tucson area colleges and universities, though we primarily serve University of Arizona.

Statement of Sanctuary

We welcome all to this place. Our ministry is rooted in the love of Jesus, embracing everyone. Mutual trust and respect, in the Spirit of Christ, is offered to all who may elsewhere experience alienation, distrust or rejection. People of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions are welcome. By the grace of God, we are freed to proclaim our unity and celebrate our diversity.  This Center, this Table, this Community is a safe place.
