Our official WELCOME STATEMENT
“Blessed to be part of a diverse campus community, this student Christian ministry welcomes all who seek to love God and participate in an open and supportive community based on the life of Jesus Christ. We especially invite those who may not feel welcome in other churches. We confess that we are not perfect in our love and seek to become more fully loving of God’s ecosystems and communities of life on Earth, including peoples of all identities, ethnic backgrounds, questions, and interests. We are a Reconciling in Christ ministry, which means that we recognize and affirm persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We also support the justice values of the University of Arizona. Thanks be to God for the blessings we receive and the differences we share.”
Wednesday Eves – Free Dinner at 6pm, followed by Vespers & discussion 6:40-7:35 pm. These discussions are usually led by students on topics of interest connecting college life with Christian faith.
There are of course other ministry activities and events during the week, but these are the towering ones. Also, two major Retreats are:
- Fall Retreat to La Jolla CA (over Labor Day Weekend).
- Winter Retreat to Sedona AZ (first weekend in February). We lodge at Christ Church (on the floor with sleeping bags:), worship, hike (there is a skiing/snowboarding option to Flagstaff on Saturday for those interested), and hang out with the LCMs of NAU and ASU. Cost:$25
